Curated by Toshio Shimizu × Lacquer Works by Jibei MuraseSince its first presentation in 2020, this exhibition proudly marks its sixth edition.
Toshio Shimizu (Professor Emeritus at Gakushuin Women’s College, graduate of the École du Louvre in Paris) has selected outstanding French Art Deco lamp pieces with his unique curatorial vision. These will be presented alongside the works of the third-generation lacquer artist Jibei Murase, whose creations embody a beauty to be preserved for the future.
We invite you to enjoy this extraordinary encounter between the excellence of French and Japanese aesthetics.

Kamon Kougei: Original tea boxes and baskets, seasonal decorations, fukusa, sukiya pouches, kaishi cases, tea ceremony bags, small linen purses, cutlery, and more
